JOY

                                                     JOY   -   4th NOV 2012



When u see the word joy, most of us will straight away think that it's relate happiness with feelings. But feeling of happiness does not define joy. The world even define that when there is nothing negative happen, this equal to joy. 


For Christian, how can we find joy in our life and how bible define with joy? 
The answer is, there is only one way to attain joy, which is through Jesus Christ and the holy spirit in us. Joy is come from our hearts, a grateful heart to Jesus, a spiritual mind for Jesus. From loving others we will find joy. Jesus loves us unconditionally, nothing we can do that make God loves us. God's love is complete and it does not depend on our condition.  


And why should Christian have joy? This is very important because a Christian cannot be faithful if he/she does not have joy. The person will only think about his/her own needs, being calculative in his service to God will burn out one day because he/she do not finds joy in his service and only expect people to appreciate. And this is very dangerous. Besides, a christian will know that this world is not the source of his joy, but is the place to practice his faith. 


So, how can we Christian practice service joyfully? In Philippians 4:11-13 says that "11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength." Which means it is all about being content. Once we got this, we will serve with a joyful heart without expecting much from it. Do more and talk less. 


Lastly, start to practicing joy and apply it in our life now. Because only with a joyful heart, the journey with Christ can just last long in our entire life and to serve him faithfully.
